MITCHELL VOLK
Architectural Assistant

B. Arch (Hons) USYD

M.Arch (In Progress) USYD

A graduate with honours from the University of Sydney, Mitchell joined Stukel Architecture in early 2024 with a fresh perspective and enthusiasm.

During his education, Mitchell has been actively involved in the art and design field, including taking part in the Young Curators Program as a Student Leader for a curatorial exhibition. Before joining Stukel Architecture, Mitchell worked at Atomi Education to develop and deliver interactive Design & Technology courses for high school students.

Mitchell has a deep interest in the psychological and sensory dimensions of architecture and aims to create spaces that foster well-being and engagement. His design sensibilities are driven by a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, simplicity, and the interplay of light and materiality, with a strong focus on how built environments shape perception, behavior, and emotion.

Drawn to bold structures, geometric compositions, and sculptural forms, he balances precision with expressive design, applying his strengths in artistic expression, sketching, and digital and physical fabrication to both conceptual exploration and technical detailing.

In addition to his architectural practice, Mitchell enjoys cooking, graphic and industrial design, and is an avid football (soccer) tragic!
