The proposal deliberately engages with Roy Ground’s Architecture. This is a dialogue between 2017 and 1967, inviting audiences to engage with the NGV façade whilst simultaneously experiencing developments in contemporary Architectural design thinking and practice. The genesis for the proposal is the band of tetrahedron corbels 5.2m above the ground. The negative space between these elements, rectangular pyramid voids, have been transposed to the ground plane to bring audiences up close and personal with the scale and dimension of the façade.
